I. The Abomination of Desolation (24:15)
Matthew 24:15 seems to be a turning point and sets into motion a “___________-effect” of Tribulation events. cf. Mk.13:14-19; Lk. 21:20-22 – “Jerusalem…armies” The phrase “let the reader understand” seems to point to a future layer of meaning beyond the ___________. The word “abomination” speaks of something repulsive or rejected by God & is applied to acts of ___________. cf. 2 Th. 2:1-10; Rev. 13:15-17; 15:5; 21:27; Dan. 9:27 Whatever this event is, it must be the single, greatest Sign of the “________ Tribulation”(v. 21) as seen from the panic & danger described in verses 16-22!!
II. The 70th Week of Daniel (Dan. 9:24-27)
Jesus says that this “abomination” (lit.) which ________ “desolation” was spoken of by Daniel. (9:27; 11:31; 12:11) The Book of Daniel is filled with detailed prophecies which seem to have near-future and _____-future fulfillment.

KEY – The 70th Week Prophecy of Daniel 9 seems to link the __________ of Christ to His Coming! cf. 9:24-27 Because of Jesus’ words in Matt. 24, Daniel’s 70th Week is the _____________ period soon to come! (7 Years)

Meditate upon the Great Tribulation:

This Abomination of Desolation standing in the holy place will set in motion so much panic & danger! Pray for courage for believers during Tribulation!
Tuesday, July 26th
Meditate upon the Great Tribulation:
- Luke 21:20-24
Note the phrase “when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies.” Is that happening now? Notice v. 22 and praise God for His faithfulness to fulfill what He has promised!
Wednesday, July 27th
Meditate upon the Man of Lawlessness:
- 2 Thess. 2:3-4
Notice the connection between the Apostasy and the Man of Lawlessness being revealed. Who of those that you now know do you think will worship him? Pray for discernment & a love for the Truth(v. 10).
Thursday, July 28th
Meditate upon the Beast out of the Sea:
- Revelation 13:1-4, 12
Notice the “dragon” gave the Beast his power and authority. His fatal wound being healed amazes so many. Pray for the Church to have greater discernment of Truth & Lies today!
Friday, July 29th
Meditate upon the Beast out of the Sea:
- Revelation 13:5-8
Notice the repeated phrases “was given him…” Who do you think gave him all these things? Spend time praising God for His ultimate power and authority over Satan, the Antichrist & the World.
