“What It Means to Follow the Master”

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”   Mk. 10:45

I.  The Exhortation about FAITH   (11:19-26)

After cursing the fig tree & cleansing the temple, Jesus

_________ His disciples to, “Have faith in God!” (v. 22)

Jesus says that faith in God, without doubt, is able to move

__________!(vv. 23-24) cf. Mt. 7:7-11; 17:20; Js. 1:6-7

NOTE – The divine prerequisite to mountain-moving prayer

is ____________. (vv. 25-26) cf. Mt. 6:14-15; 18:21-35

Jesus’ answer is very profound as He questions them

FYI – No one is ever their own _________ authority!

cf.  Rom. 13:1-5; Matt. 8:9

The _________ stumped the leaders & they could not

It was a bold & dangerous parable that indirectly

Jesus was the “beloved Son”(v. 6) who was the rightful

______ to God’s vineyard & yet was killed.

The Climax of the Parable is the Question, “What will

the ______ of the vineyard do?.” (v. 9) cf. Mt. 21:41

Jesus concludes by quoting the Messianic Psalm 118:22

Practical Application:   “_____ ___ ___ ________?”

  1. “Forgive” – Mk. 11:25; Mt. 6:12, 14-15; 2 Cor. 2:10-11
