“Knowing Them By Their Fruits”

   A Study of the Fruit of the Spirit

   Galatians 5:22-23

“By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.”  Jesus (Jn. 15:8)

I.  The FAITHFUL & True Witness  (Rev. 19:11)

God is faithful & His faithfulness reaches to the ______. cf.  Ps. 36:5; 108:4 – it is incomprehensible In the Bible, there are more than ___ references to God’s faithfulness.   cf.  Deut. 7:7-11; 1 Cor. 1:9; 1 Thess. 5:24 Faithfulness is closely related to ________ and means that God is totally reliable & trustworthy. i.e. dependable God remains faithful even when we are ___________! cf.  2 Tim. 2:13; 1 Thess. 5:24; 1 Cor. 1:9

Jesus is called “the faithful & _____ Witness.” cf.  Rev. 1:5; 3:14; 19:11 It gives such strength to our spiritual lives to know that God is faithful to His promises & “will bring it to _______.”   cf.  1 Th. 5:24; Ps. 143:1; 92:1-4; Lam. 3:23

II. The Good & FAITHFUL Servant (Matt. 25:21)

Daniel modeled faithfulness in that his peers found no ___________ or corruption in him.   cf.  Dan. 6:4 When “making disciples,” we are to teach & entrust the Word to “faithful men” who can _______ others too.  cf.  Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Tim. 2:2 A True Disciple is:  F_______ A________ T_______ Jesus said that if we are faithful in the very _______ things, we will be faithful in much!    cf. Observe this passage as to what it says about the uniqueness & priority of God’s faithfulness.  Pray for God to fill you with the fruit of faithfulness & for it to be reflected in your life & relationships this week.

Tuesday, December 6th                                             

Meditate upon the Priority of the Faithfulness of God:

  • Psalm 36:5; 89:1-2, 8

Observe this passage as to what it says about the uniqueness & priority of God’s faithfulness.  Pray for one person for you to “make known His faithfulness” to.

Wednesday, December 7th                                          

Meditate upon the Priority of the Faithfulness of God:

  • Psalm 92:1-4

Observe this passage as to what it says about the uniqueness & priority of God’s faithfulness.  Why do you think we are to “declare His faithfulness at night?” Praise God for ways He has been faithful today!

  Thursday, December 8th                                       

Meditate upon the Priority of the Faithfulness of God:

  • Revelation 1:5; 3:14; 19:11; 1 Thess. 5:24

Observe this passage as to what it says about the uniqueness & priority of God’s faithfulness.  What a powerful title:  “Faithful & True.”  Give thanks to God that your salvation is secure in JESUS – He is faithful!

Friday, December 9th                                           

Meditate upon the Priority of the Faithfulness of God:

  • 2 Timothy 2:1-2

Observe this passage as to what it says about the uniqueness & priority of God’s faithfulness.  How are you personally seeking to pour your life into another who is “faithful” or reliable?  Pray for this person!

Saturday/Sunday, Dec. 10-11

 Meditate upon the Priority of the Faithfulness of God:

  • Luke 16:10; 1 Cor. 10:13

Observe this passage as to what it says about the uniqueness & priority of God’s faithfulness.  What might be “the little things” in your life?  Pray for God’s faithful strength & protection in the face of temptation!
