Hebrews 5:11-14

             “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that

        Mark #1 – Obedience to the WORD

I.  The MILK of the WORD   (Heb. 5:11-13)

Knowing & understanding Jesus Christ is _________ &

yet very complex!  cf.  Acts 16:31; Heb. 1:1-3; Col. 2:9

Being “dull of hearing” refers to one who is no longer

_______ to listen or be receptive to the Truth. (v. 11)

Spiritual infants need ______, elementary truths, to

eat & not solid food. (vv. 12-13)

Every true believer should strongly _______ the pure

milk of the Word.    cf.  1 Pet. 1:22-2:3

A diet of milk is not bad, unless a believer should be

more _______ to handle “solid food.” cf. 1 Cor. 3:1-3

i.e.  “fleshly” = carnal (men of flesh)

II.  The MEAT of the WORD  (Heb. 5:14)

The Bible is very clear that “solid food” is the _____

NOTE – with maturity in the Christian life comes
